Overview and Classification A filter press is asolid-liquid separation devicedriven by pressure. It forms closed filter chambers by pressing filter plates together. Under pressure, the suspension passes through the filter cloth, solids are retained as filter cake, and the liquid (filtrate) is discharged. It is mainly divided into intermittent and continuous types, widely used in environmental protection (sludge dewatering), mining, chemical industry, food, pharmaceutical and other fields.
1.Plate and Frame Filter PressTraditional model with alternating filter plates and frames. Simple structure, high pressure resistance, suitable for high-viscosity materials. Low automation, complicated assembly and disassembly. Filter cake moisture content: generally 30%–50%.
2.Chamber Filter PressSingle filter plate with double-sided concave to form filter chambers, no filter frame required. Good sealing, easy operation, high degree of automation — the mainstream model. Filter cake moisture content: 25%–40%.
3.Membrane Filter Press(Upgraded Chamber Type) Elastic membrane built into filter plates for secondary squeezing with compressed air or water. Significantly reduces filter cake moisture content to 20%–30%. Suitable for deep dewatering applications.
4.Belt Filter Press(Continuous Type) Continuous operation of filter belts with gravity pre-dewatering and roller pressing. Large processing capacity, suitable for low-concentration sludge (e.g., municipal sewage). Higher moisture content: 40%–60%.
16.ULTRAFILTRATIONMEMBRANE FILTER
Taking Reverse Osmosis Membrane as the core, it is an equipment unit that achieves high-precision water treatment through pressure drive. It is the core of modern water treatment technology and is widely used in various fields ranging from household water purification to large-scale seawater desalination.
